6:30 AM - Meet your escort at Peoria Charter Coach Waiting Room at the corner of NE Adams & Alexander Streets (Enter off Alexander) 6:45 AM - Depart Peoria headed northeast towards "The Windy City" – Chicago! We’ll make a 1/2 hour break stop en route. 11:00 AM - We arrive in downtown Chicago where you’ll be dropped at the corner of State & Randolph (Macy’s corner) for a little shopping time and to get lunch on your own. The theatre is just up the street a couple blocks from Macy’s so you’ll need to be at the theater at 1:30 p.m. so you can get to your Lower Balcony seat. 2:00 PM - It’s Showtime! In a faraway kingdom turned upside down, things get ugly when an unseemly ogre – not a handsome prince – shows up to rescue a feisty princess. Thrown in a donkey who won’t shut up, a bad guy with a SHORT temper, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand … and his name is Shrek*! Shrek the Musical features a terrific score of 19 all-new songs, a cast of 27 singers & dancers & a fire breathing dragon! Full of big laughs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery, Shrek the Musical is part romance, part twisted fairy tale and all irreverent fun for everyone. 5:00 PM - What a great show but its time to say "goodbye" to Chicago and depart for home. We’ll make a 1 hour meal stop en route home. 9:30 PM - Approximate arrival time back in Peoria.
