Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

Day #1 – Sunday, November 21st: 6:45 AM - Meet your escort at PCC Waiting Room at the corner of NE Adams & Alexander Streets. 7:00 AM - Depart Peoria headed east towards "The Big Apple" – New York City. We’ll enjoy Continental Breakfast* on board the coach and make rest & meals stops as needed along the way. Don’t forget to set your watches ahead an hour upon entering Indiana as we’re now in the Eastern Time Zone. 5:00 PM - We arrive at our home for the night – the Courtyard by Marriott Columbus Airport*. You’ll have time to freshen up before setting out for Dinner*. Day #2 – Monday, November 22nd: Complimentary Breakfast* is served at the hotel. 7:30 AM - We’re off for our next stop in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. We’ll make rest & meal stops along the way as needed. 4:00 PM - We arrive at our overnight stop – the Wyndham Garden Hotel*. Take time to freshen up as we’ve got dinner & a show planned for you tonight. 5:30 PM - We arrive at Hershey Resort where you’ll enjoy a welcome reception of cheese & punch* followed by a delicious Dinner & Show*. Following the show, we’ll re-board our awaiting coach for a drive through Hershey Sweet Lights*, a magical winter wonderland! Experience over 600 illuminated, animated displays from the comfort of your car as you drive through two miles of wooded trails. 8:30 PM - Approximate return time to our hotel for the night. Day #3 – Tuesday, November 23rd: 6:30 AM - Continental Breakfast* is served. 8:00 AM - Let’s check out, board our coach and depart for our destination – New York City! We’ll make a rest stop along the way. Noon - Arriving in New York City, our first stop will be the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island Tours*. The statue was presented to the United States by France & dedicated in 1886 in commemoration of the two countries’ alliance during the American Revolution. Measuring 151’ high on a 154’ high pedestal, it is the tallest statue of modern times. Ellis Island was the nation’s main point of entry for millions of immigrants 1892-1954. Some 30 galleries & exhibits chronicle the history of immigration into the United States. 4:30 PM - Approximate arrival time to our area hotel (either the Hampton Inn or the Hilton Garden Inn in New Jersey). Note: We will not be staying in Times Square on this trip. 6:00 PM - We’ll enjoy a dinner* in Times Square followed by a visit to either the Empire State Building or the Top of the Rock Building*. Either has spectacular views of the "city that never sleeps". Day #4 – Wednesday, November 24th: Continental Breakfast* is served at your hotel. Today you’ll meet up with your Licensed New York City Tour Guide for a day of sightseeing*. Enjoy a tour of uptown to include a brief stroll in Central Park, drive by Lincoln Center, and the historic Upper West Side. We’ll drive through Harlem, see the homes of the rich & famous along 5th Avenue (includes the former apartment of Jackie) and see the Museum Mile. We’ll drive through Times Square, see Macy’s & Madison Square Gardens, stroll in Greenwich Village, see SoHo, visit Ground Zero, see the New York Stock Exchange, see the gravesite of Alexander Hamilton, visit Federal Hall – where General George Washington was sworn in as the first President of the United States, visit St. Paul’s Chapel and enjoy a docent tour of The Tribute Center at the World Trade Center. You’ll have time to shop in Chinatown and enjoy Dinner* in Little Italy. Day #5 – Thursday, November 25th: "Happy Thanksgiving" This morning we’re off to the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade*. Our guide* will meet us and take us to our reserved curbside seating*. Continental Breakfast* is served along the parade route. Enjoy the beautiful floats and hot air balloons. See if you can pick out the new ones this year. Following the parade, we’ll transfer to the harbor for a Thanksgiving Dinner Cruise*. This evening you’ll have "Free Time" to take in a Broadway Show or the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes. (Admission to the evening shows are on your own). After the shows, we’ll shuttle back to the hotel for the evening. Day #6 – Friday, November 26th: Continental Breakfast* is served at the hotel. 8:00 AM - It’s time to say goodbye to "The Big Apple" and depart towards home. We’ll make rest & meal stops along the way today to our overnight stop in Wheeling, West Virginia. 5:15 PM - We’ll check into our home for the night – the McClure City Center Hotel*. You’ll have time to freshen up before dinner & our evening entertainment. 6:00 PM - Dinner & Show* tonight will be at Oglesby Resort. You’ll enjoy a buffet dinner followed by a "holiday" show, a guided tour of the Mansion and then topped off with a drive through the local light display*. 9:00 PM - Approximate return time to the hotel for the evening. Day #7 – Saturday, November 27th: Breakfast* is included today at the hotel. 8:00 AM - Let’s check out, board our awaiting coach and depart for home. We’ll make rest & meal stops along the way as needed. Don’t forget to set your watches back an hour upon entering Illinois and the Central Time Zone. 6:30 PM - Approximate return time to Peoria.
