Day #1 – Saturday, March 19th: 6:45 AM - Meet your escort at Peoria Charter Coach waiting room at the corner of NE Adams & Alexander Streets. 7:00 AM - Depart Peoria traveling southwest towards our destination – San Antonio, Texas! You’ll enjoy a Continental Breakfast* on board the coach as we travel and we’ll make rest and meal stops as well along the way as needed. 5:00 PM - We arrive at our home for the night have time to get a good night’s rest before another travel day to our destination. Day #2 – Sunday, March 20th: After a Continental Breakfast*, we’re off to the Arkansas Arts Center, Little Rock, Arkansas for a tour*. The Arts Center is Arkansas’ leading cultural institution. Later in the day, enjoy dinner* en route to your overnight hotel. Day #3 – Monday, March 21st: Today we arrive in beautiful San Antonio – Home to the Alamo! Later in the day you’ll enjoy a relaxing dinner* and check into our San Antonio area hotel for a 4-night stay. Day #4 – Tuesday, March 22nd: Before our adventure begins, you’ll enjoy a Continental Breakfast* here at the hotel. Then we’re off for a guided tour* of San Antonio. The tour includes visits to San Fernando Cathedral, the King William Historical District, and El Mercado, an area patterned after an authentic Mexican market. Afternoon finds us at the Institute of Texan Cultures for a tour*. The Institute is devoted to the 26 different cultures that settled in Texas. After dinner*, you’ll go to the famous "River Walk" for a scenic cruise*. Day #5 – Wednesday, March 23rd: Enjoy another Continental Breakfast* before we board the coach and depart for Fredericksburg – the "Jewel of the Texas Hill Country". We tart with a visit to the National Museum of the Pacific War, including the George Bush Gallery*. Here, visitors become quickly engaged in the personal stories of Americans from all branches of the military involved in the Pacific theatre of World War II. Then we’ll depart for the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park where you’ll go on a guided tour* of the LBJ Ranch*, and see the Texas White House. This evening, enjoy a lovely dinner* complete with entertainment*. Day #6 – Thursday, March 24th: Following another delicious Continental Breakfast* we’ll pay a visit to the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park. Experience the "Queen of the Missions" – Mission San Jose, established in 1720. Later we’ll go to the IMAX Theatre at San Antonio Rivercenter to see "Alamo – The Pride of Freedom"*. Then we’ll stand where history took place when we visit the buildings and grounds of the Alamo – The Shrine of Liberty*. This evening you’ll have time to relax and enjoy dinner*. Day #7 – Friday, March 25th: Continental Breakfast* is served this morning before we checkout and depart for the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum* in Austin, TX. It’s interactive exhibits and artifacts bring the myth, legend and fact of the Lone Star State together, under one roof. Later today, after a relaxing dinner*, you can relax at our en route hotel. Day #8 – Saturday, March 26th: Enjoy Continental Breakfast* before we depart for Little Rock, Arkansas to tour* the William J. Clinton Presidential Library & Museum*. The library contains nearly 2 million photographs and over 75,000 museum artifacts. Tonight, dinner is on your own as we travel to our en route hotel. Day #9 – Sunday, March 27th: 8:00 AM - We enjoy our final Continental Breakfast* before checking out and departing for home. We’ll make rest & meal stops en route as we travel. 6:00 PM - Approximate arrival time back in Peoria.
